Waylands Smithy 2

This small but beautiful formation is perhaps not as impressive as the 'Jelly Fish' design that has intrigued the nation's Journalists and also appeared near here, but it is beautiful, again laid in Barley and measures approximately 120ft  in diameter.

In the landscape picture (below, opposite), the clump of trees in the Rape field above the formation  (just holding on to its yellow blooms) hides Waylands Smithy - a neolithic burial mound.  Running alongside, you can see the white chalky path of the ancient Ridgeway.
